F.A.Q.

Q. Ok, I’ve contacted Your Team. What should I do before they get here? A.) When a water loss occurs there are certain steps that need to be taken regarding safety and protection of your possessions.

ELECTRICAL SHOCK First turn off any breakers in the affected area as this can prevent against electric shock. (Typically a breaker box is in the garage, on the side of the house, or in a closet)

Second if at all possible, identify the source of the problem! If it is determined that the water is leaking because of a broken (fresh water) supply line. The shutoff valve can typically be located at the hot water heater, in the garage, or at the street. If there is an angle stop at the source of the problem for example, a (fresh water supply line) to the toilet or washer machine hoses. The angle stop can be easily turned to the off position.

Third if there are any irreplaceable items in the affected area it would be best to put them in a dry well ventilated space on the property. Just 5-10 minutes of standing water can ruin an old family heirloom or priceless possession.

Q. How soon after I speak with your office will you arrive at my door to provide your services? A.) The typical response time for any project is within 60 minutes or less. This insures that our team can successfully stop the problem, extract any standing water, and begin the drying process all while efficiently mitigating any further damages from occurring.

Q. What will happen when our team arrives at your property? A.) When we arrive at your property the lead technician will perform an initial inspection of the damages and report back to you with an explanation of the drying process and an estimate with the scope of work. While this initial inspection is happening, the other technicians dispatched will concentrate on mitigating the damages and extracting any standing water. Once both of these tasks have been completed the drying process begins.

Q. Will my insurance carrier cover your services? A. ) Although every policy is different and every carrier has its own limits and policy provisions. We can assure you that our team is trained at detecting which causes of damage your insurance carrier will typically cover. We use the same pricing guidelines for estimates that are accepted by insurance carriers nationwide.

Q. How long will it take to complete the drying process? A.) In most cases the dry out time is between 3-5 days. However, every water damage project is different and there are some instances where it will take longer than the standard projected drying time. After the initial setup of our specialized drying equipment the technician assigned to your water damage loss will perform a series of service calls. This insures that equipment is being monitored and repositioned to enhance the drying time of the structure. After each service call the technician will inform you of the progress made each day.
